Glen Waverley Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival 2026

Event date
Sunday, 1 March 2026

LiverWELL will be hosting an information stall at this year’s Glen Waverley Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival, and we’d love for you to stop by!

It’s a wonderful chance to celebrate with the local Chinese and multicultural communities while learning more about keeping your liver healthy — including important information about viral hepatitis, especially hepatitis B.

There’ll also be plenty happening on the day, with community organisations, local businesses, entertainment, performances, and family-friendly activities. Make sure you drop in, enjoy the festivities, and come chat with our team!

Activities

  • Health Promotion (educating the community about viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis B with the multicultural community)
  • Resource distribution
  • Community engagement with games/activities (dartboard and quizzes)

Start date:

  • Sunday, 1st of March, 2026

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
