Collaborating with PEASER (Pilipino Elderly Association of SouthEast Region)

March 14, 2025

LiverWELL collaborated with PEASER (Pilipino Elderly Association of SouthEast Region) to raise awareness of hepatitis B on the 9th of March. Alain spoke about the importance of hepatitis B for the Filipino community living in Australia, reiterating important messages about spreading the information to families, friends and loved ones.

The session was interactive and engaged community members through dispelling myths and answering frequently asked questions relating to testing, treatment and management, visas, and privacy, disclosure and discrimination.

The workshop also included watching the Filipino Hepatitis B Community Ambassador Awareness Video and completing a survey to ensure that the group are confident in relaying key takeaway messages.

At the end of the session, there was a lucky draw and three lucky members took home small prizes!
