Elevating Community Insights Vienamese Community Consultation Workshop

June 10, 2026

Living Well was delighted to partner with NEWGENs at Braybrook Community Hub to bring together members of the Vietnamese community for a meaningful consultation workshop. A heartfelt thank you to Linda Nguyen, Executive Director of NEWGENs, for her collaboration and support in creating this opportunity. We were grateful to connect with seven community members who generously shared their experiences, perspectives, and ideas to help inform our work.

Facilitated by Maddie Bolton and Shaina Sodhi, the two-hour workshop centred on community voices and lived experiences. Shaina’s previous research with Deakin University on community-led and co-design approaches for people affected by or at risk of viral hepatitis helped shape the session. Participants reviewed the Vietnamese Be Hep Aware resource and took part in Journey Mapping and the ever-popular Wish Balloon activity, creating a welcoming space for reflection, discussion, and shared learning.
