Launching Our New Hepatitis B Visa & Migration FAQ

January 28, 2025

Did you know that individuals diagnosed with hepatitis B and their families often experience fear and stress due to the mandatory health assessments required for visa applications by the Department of Home Affairs?

This month we launched our first FAQ webpage for Visa and migration questions surrounding hepatitis B. This resource will support people migrating to Australia and applying for Visas.

Recognising the need for accessible and reliable information, we collaborated with medical professionals, epidemiologists, and experts in health, law, and lived experience from various states to develop this resource. We hope this resource will increase awareness among healthcare professionals and migration agents about the challenges that people living with hepatitis B face.
