Daffodil Day is a time to recognise the hope that research brings to people affected by cancer and look towards a future where fewer lives are impacted by the disease. This year, LiverWELL is shining a light on liver cancer and the important connection between hepatitis B and liver cancer, particularly when hepatitis B is undiagnosed or diagnosed too late.
Liver cancer is the sixth most common cause of cancer-related death in Victoria. The good news is that early diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis B can reduce the risk of developing liver cancer. This Daffodil Day, LiverWELL encourages Victorians to know their hepatitis B status, get tested if they may be at risk, and access ongoing care and treatment when needed. By raising awareness and supporting early action, we can help prevent future liver cancer diagnoses and give more people hope for a healthier future.
