LiverWELL was proud to attend the Ethnolink Summit 2026 in Melbourne, joining more than 250 communications, marketing and community engagement professionals for a day focused on the future of multicultural communications in Australia.
The summit brought together communications professionals from across health, government, and community to share ideas, experiences and practical insights on how to better connect with multicultural communities.
ighlights included practical insights into reaching Punjabi-speaking heavy vehicle drivers, building health campaigns with communities, and taking a place-based approach to engaging Dari-speaking communities. Speakers also shared lessons from national multicultural natural hazards campaigns, explored the role of communications in social cohesion, and highlighted the importance of ensuring everyone has access to information they can understand.
For us, the day was a valuable opportunity to learn more about creating engagements that are accessible, relevant and meaningful for people from diverse cultural and language backgrounds. We heard about the importance of understanding the communities we are communicating with and using a range of approaches to ensure information reaches the people who need it.
The summit also provided a great opportunity to connect with others working in this space, exchange ideas and hear about approaches being used across different sectors.
We’re looking forward to taking these insights into our communications work and continuing to strengthen how we engage with multicultural communities across Victoria.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
