LiverWELL was thrilled to join the Springvale Snow Festival to help raise awareness and educate the community about viral hepatitis, including hepatitis B and C. Our interactive stall was a hit with festival-goers, offering fun activities like the Spin to Win game and the popular Bike and Blend smoothie station, alongside multilingual resources and friendly conversations about liver health, testing, and support services. Hundreds of visitors stopped by to learn how to protect themselves and their loved ones while enjoying the lively festival atmosphere.
The Bike and Blend activity was especially popular with both kids and adults, who pedalled a stationary bike to blend fresh, healthy smoothies. This fun and active experience sparked important conversations about good nutrition, exercise, and overall liver wellbeing. With an estimated 33,000 visitors attending the festival in Greater Dandenong, it was the perfect opportunity to connect with culturally diverse communities in a family-friendly setting. Coinciding with World Hepatitis Day, LiverWELL’s presence helped reduce stigma and encourage people to get tested and know their status. We’re proud to be part of this vibrant event that shows learning about liver health can be just as fun as playing in the snow.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
