NEWGENs Multicultural Event

February 12, 2026

We were delighted to be part of NEWGEN’s Multicultural Event on 26 January, a vibrant celebration that brought the community together under the theme “Many Cultures, One Future.” The day was a wonderful reflection of the diversity that makes our community so strong, with an exciting program of performances representing cultures from around the world. From the beauty and storytelling of Vietnamese cultural dance to the powerful rhythms of African drumming, each performance created a warm atmosphere that people of all ages enjoyed.

The event space was full of energy throughout the day. Local businesses and food vendors shared a variety of food, products and services, while community and health organisations connected with attendees to provide information and support. The presence of community leaders and elected representatives, including Brimbank Councillor Kim Truong, Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association CEO Nicky Chung and Vice President Kham Tran, and Dr Daniel Mulino MP and his team, showed strong support for multicultural communities and local partnerships.

We were able to share important health messages about hepatitis B and C testing and general ways to take care of your liver health. Our team spoke with community members, handed out resources to take home, and answered questions about prevention, testing and treatment. A darts quiz at our stall added a fun and interactive element, encouraging participants to test their knowledge of hepatitis B and C for the chance to win prizes. It was a great way to spark important conversatyions while having fun!

We sincerely thank NEWGEN for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful community celebration
