Be the Change is a video dedicated to combating stigma and discrimination, featuring our Lived Experience Advisory Committee (LEAC) members Steven Taylor, Jane Little and Mei Mak. Through their personal stories, they challenge misconceptions, change attitudes, and promote understanding in the community about viral hepatitis. We are incredibly grateful to them for sharing their stories.
By fighting stigma, we can encourage at-risk individuals to seek testing, build a culture of dignity and respect, empower those with hepatitis to pursue treatment and care, and create a more supportive and informed community.
Watch the video now and join us in being part of the change.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
