Thank you for getting involved this World Hepatitis Day!
We loved seeing our communities come together last July to support World Hepatitis Day 2026 through activities, conversations and awareness-raising initiatives.
From Collingwood and Footscray to Horsham, Wodonga and Shepparton, communities across Victoria connected with information about viral hepatitis and liver health through education sessions, awareness events, testing opportunities and referral pathways. We also shared important messages through social media, billboards and by lighting up monuments across Victoria in green to help raise awareness and show our support for people affected by hepatitis.
These activities were made possible through strong collaborations with community organisations, health services and local partners committed to improving awareness, reducing stigma and making testing, treatment and care more accessible. It was fantastic to see so many organisations and community members contribute their time, knowledge and energy to help make World Hepatitis Day 2026 a success.
We gratefully acknowledge the Victorian Government for their continued support of LiverWELL and our work to improve liver health and eliminate viral hepatitis.
World Hepatitis Day may have passed, but the work continues. Together, we can keep the conversation going, encourage more people to get tested, connect people with the care they need and work towards Let’s keep working together to eliminate hepatitis nationally by 2030.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
