Hepatitis Queensland hosted a national Hepatitis  Educators Network Meeting in Brisbane over two days in October thanks to a grant provided by Abbvie and additional support from Hepatitis Australia.
Representatives from the state and territory hepatitis peak bodies gathered to share insights and learn from each other’s approaches to eliminating viral hepatitis in Australia by 2030. Health promotion team member, Neylan Aykut attended and said, ‘It was very inspiring to hear about the work occurring around the country and has provided a lot of strategic insights for the team.’
Michelle Kudell from Hepatitis Australia, Marrianne Black from the Ethnic Communities Council of QLC, Andrew Smirnov from the UQ School of Public Health and Troy Combo from Burnet Australia additionally attended to deliver impactful presentations
about current initiatives.
