Andrew Everett

Volunteer of the Month, August 2019

I am currently studying my Masters of Public Health while working in emergency management at the University of Melbourne.

  • What inspired me to become a Hepatitis Victoria volunteer?

Wanted to get involved and give back time and energy to a health organization that does great work in the community. I don’t have experience working in a health organization yet so Hepatitis Victoria is a great fit!

  • One of my favorite Hepatitis Victoria sessions or moments

.After only a month of volunteering in the office, I was lucky enough to be around for Jawid’s farewell event. I could tell, sitting around that table that there was a lot of incredible people that work at HepVic who have big hearts and breed great workplace culture.

  • What tips do I have for new volunteers?

Just say yes to things as they come up! You will find that you are more useful and capable than you think.
