Volunteer of the Month, January 2020

About me

I am a Master of Public Health student at the University of Melbourne with a background in dentistry. I would like to work in the field of health promotion after I graduate.

What inspired me to become a Hepatitis Victoria Volunteer?

My passion for health promotion coupled with my interest in alcohol and drug related diseases inspired me to become a volunteer at Hepatitis Victoria.

My favourite Hepatitis Victoria sessions or moments

My favorite moment at Hepatitis Victoria would be during the Springvale Snowfest 2019 where I had the opportunity to spread awareness regarding hepatitis to the masses and distribute resources.

What tips do I have for new volunteers?

Get involved with the activities happening at Hep Vic; there’s always something you can help with and it is an excellent way of developing skills crucial for working in the field.
