Volunteer of the Month, December 2019

About me

I am an international student who’s studying Master of Public Health at University of Melbourne.

What inspired me to become a Hepatitis Victoria Volunteer?

I have several friends who have also volunteered for Hepatitis Victoria and they encouraged me to try.

My favourite Hepatitis Victoria sessions or moments

My favorite moment is when the students from adult migration English program ask lots of questions regarding vaccinations and prevention of hepatitis B.

What tips do I have for new volunteers?

Try to get involved as much as possible, put your name down first if not sure.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
