We are looking for Community Ambassadors for Liver Health

April 3, 2024

What is a Community Ambassador?

Community Ambassadors are respected people from community who are taking the pledge to raise the profile of liver health within their communities. With support from LiverWELL, Community Ambassadors speak strong and clear about ways to look after your liver, access services and supports available, to live healthier, longer lives.

At LiverWELL, we understand that people who are known in the community are much more effective at delivering information impactfully to their communities, than we could ever be!! So, we want to acknowledge that, by supporting people who are leaders in caring for their communities to share some important information.

Why Liver Health?

Our liver is an incredible organ, responsible for more than 500 functions in the human body – but often overlooked in health messaging. Unfortunately, liver cancer is the fastest growing cause of liver death in Australia – despite there being an amazing array of treatments available for liver conditions. Many people don’t know how to check on their liver health, or what options are available to them. That’s where our amazing Community Ambassadors can help.
