Russell previously held senior executive positions with Healthcare Australia (one of Australia’s largest health, disability and aged care providers), Yooralla (0ne of Australia’s largest disability providers), Australia Post and various roles across Manufacturing, IT&C, Logistics and Education.

Russell’s experience in the health and disability services sector includes establishing clinical governance frameworks, hospital in the home services, mental health programmes and supported independent living accommodation services across Australia. Russell is focused on patient- and consumer-centered care, involving them in the design of services and supporting them to share their voice on key topics that impact them. He has worked across ‘profit for purpose’, private equity and commercial organisations, to deliver significant improvements in customer outcomes, service delivery and organisational growth.

A board member of Hepatitis Australia and a long-term Board member of a Charitable Trust, Russell is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

“I’m excited to be joining LiverWELL at this time of growth for our organisation”, said Russell. “Liver health is an increasingly important issue nationally, and I look forward to embracing opportunities to expand our advocacy, support and education in this area.”

“I’d like to thank our previous CEO Melanie Eagle for her long-term guidance and vision for LiverWELL”, said Russell. “Melanie has positioned LiverWELL for future success and we are grateful for her important contribution.”
