LiverWELL attended the Point Cook Multicultural Lunar Festival on Sunday 1 March 2026 to connect with the community and raise awareness about viral hepatitis and liver health. Our stall welcomed many visitors throughout the day, as thousands of people gathered to celebrate one of the area’s biggest multicultural events!
It was a wonderful opportunity for our team to engage with community members from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. We spoke with attendees about the importance of liver health and shared information on viral hepatitis prevention, testing, and treatment. Many people were interested in learning more about how viral hepatitis can affect liver health and what steps they can take to protect themselves and their families.
We were also able to distribute multilingual health resources and answer questions from community members in a friendly and welcoming environment. Events like this provide an important platform to break down stigma, encourage open conversations about health, and help people access reliable information about viral hepatitis.
The festival featured more than 90 performances, vibrant cultural displays, and a wide variety of food stalls representing different cultures. Highlights included the popular lion and dragon dances, which brought energy and excitement to the celebrations. With such a lively and diverse atmosphere, the festival created a valuable opportunity for us to connect with the local community and promote greater awareness of liver health and viral hepatitis.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
