World Hepatitis Day on 28 July marks a global day of action to raise awareness of hepatitis and its global impact. This year, we’re asking you to Take the Next Step by getting tested and treated for viral hepatitis.
Getting tested and treated shouldn’t be stressful. That’s why we’ve made it easy by breaking the process down into four simple actions:
Understand your risk
Talk to a healthcare professional
Get tested
Get treated
This year’s campaign is also a call to action for policymakers to remove the financial, social and systemic barriers, including stigma, that stand in the way of hepatitis elimination by 2030 and liver cancer prevention. It also highlights the myths and misinformation that can prevent people from accessing effective testing and treatment.
This World Hepatitis Day, we’re sharing the facts and encouraging you to take action. Keep an eye out for our awesome social media videos, lit up green monuments, radio ads, gigantic billboards and, lived experience stories.
On World Hepatitis Day, let’s all do our part to learn, educate and advocate for hepatitis prevention, linkage to care, testing and treatment. This year’s global theme reminds us that we all have a role to play in eliminating viral hepatitis.
Test It. Treat It. Take the Next Step.
