World Hepatitis Day on 28 July brought together experts, partners, and community partners for a global day of action, raising awareness about hepatitis and our goal to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030.
In Victoria, we were pleased to support 11 community partner organisations across the state to hold their own events. Billboards spread the Hepatitis: Test it, Treat it campaign message on major roads, while Flinders St Station, the Bolte Bridge, Tulla Soundtube, and landmarks in Geelong, Ballarat, Shepparton and Bendigo all glowed green in support. Social media went wild for our myth-busting videos, Hep C rap song and Perspectives video.
The LiverWELL team were out and about at Flinders St Station, spreading the word about the World Hepatitis Day mission to end viral hepatitis by 2030.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
