Overview

Help contribute to a shared vision for people with viral hepatitis and liver disease. Our strong membership base is what informs our work and keeps us connected to the important issues for people with viral hepatitis and liver disease.
All membership applications are considered by our Board of Directors when they meet.

Who is LiverWELL

In 2019 Hepatitis Victoria Incorporated, reflecting its broadened remit in liver health, changed its registration from an incorporated association to a charitable company limited by guarantee under the name LiverWELL Limited.

We still trade under the name Hepatitis Victoria and remain committed to the vision of ‘Better liver health for Victorians, free from hepatitis and stigma’.

Member rights

As a company, our members have specific rights in accordance with the relevant law and our constitution. If you would like to know more about the rights of members of a company limited by guarantee, please have a look at ASIC’s website or ask us any questions.

Membership fees

Currently there is no fee attached to membership.

However, the Board may under the constitution prescribe fees as they see fit – and would give members not less than one month’s notice of any change to the membership fees.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
