Elaine Montegriffo appointed as LiverWELL CEO

May 4, 2023

We are pleased to announce that the LiverWELL Board has appointed Elaine Montegriffo to the role of CEO.

President of the LiverWELL Board Maria Marshall said “As an experienced CEO with time well spent as our interim CEO, we are confident that Elaine will continue to build momentum around the implementation of our new strategic plan – working in conjunction with our partners, communities and the LiverWELL team and Board. It’s already clear that there is a lot of energy and enthusiasm for this task. Our congratulations to Elaine!”

Elaine, who initially took on the role of Interim CEO in February, will be leading LiverWELL through a period of growth and delivering an ambitious new strategy from 2023-2030.

“I’m very excited to be leading LiverWELL through this new stage of strategic expansion”, said Elaine. “Whilst there has been great progress, there’s still much to be done if we are to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030 and improve liver health in Australia. I look forward to exploring the many opportunities for LiverWELL to collaborate across the health and research sectors, with communities, partners and supporters so that together we deliver real improvements to the health and wellbeing of people impacted by viral hepatitis and liver disease.”
