HepLink Program Officer (Full-time, Fixed Term until June 2026)

Location: North Melbourne (VIC) | Hybrid working available
Salary: $88,090 per annum + salary packaging benefits
Classification: SCHADS Level 4.1

Connect communities to care and support for viral hepatitis.

At LiverWELL (incorporating Hepatitis Victoria), we’re on a mission to eliminate viral hepatitis and improve liver health for all. For more than 30 years, we’ve worked alongside communities to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote inclusion across Victoria and beyond.

We’re seeking a HepLink Program Officer to deliver compassionate, stigma-free support to people affected by viral hepatitis — ensuring they can access the information, care, and services they need.

About LiverWELL

LiverWELL is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation that collaborates with government, research, and health-sector partners to:

  • Raise awareness and reduce stigma around viral hepatitis
  • Build community and workforce capability
  • Improve access to care, treatment, and support
  • Advocate for stronger, fairer health responses

Our vision is simple yet powerful: Liver health for all.

The Role

Reporting to the Health Promotion Manager, the HepLink Program Officer will deliver the Victorian component of HepLink — a national initiative connecting people affected by viral hepatitis to information, care, and support.

You’ll respond to client enquiries via phone, webchat, email, and outreach, providing accurate information and brief interventions that support access to testing, vaccination, and treatment. You’ll also strengthen referral pathways, maintain data quality, and collaborate with community partners to ensure HepLink remains visible and responsive across Victoria.

About You

You’re an empathetic communicator who thrives on connecting people to the right support. You value inclusion, understand community diversity, and believe in the importance of reducing stigma.

You bring:

  • Experience in health promotion, community engagement, or client support in a health or community setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide accurate, confidential information and referrals
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Victoria for service delivery and engagement activities, in line with LiverWELL’s Travel Policy
  • Sound organisation and time-management skills
  • Commitment to LiverWELL’s values of respect, inclusion, collaboration, and impact

Relevant qualifications in public health, community health, or social services are welcome, as is equivalent experience.
Applicants with lived or living experience of viral hepatitis will be highly considered for this role.

Please note: The successful candidate must have full working rights in Australia. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and LiverWELL is unable to provide letters of support or documentation for visa extensions or renewals.

Why Join Us?

At LiverWELL, you’ll join a passionate, supportive team committed to making a difference. We offer:

  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • A collaborative and purpose-driven workplace
  • Opportunities to contribute to meaningful health promotion initiatives across Victoria
  • Salary packaging and professional development support

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) fixed-term role until June 2026, based in North Melbourne, with some travel required.
