When we approached multi-Grammy nominee and worldwide hi-hop superstar Hepinem to write a rap about hepatitis C we were sure it was going to be a smash hit. The Hep C Rap, which was self-produced by LiverWELL aims to make education on hepatitis C more accessible to young people and older rap fans alike.
The music video, which co-stars well known celebrity O’liver the liver, premiered on TikTok as part of our promotions for World Hepatitis Day 2023 and received 57k views over the course of 5 days. It has helped to raise awareness of testing, treatment and the cure for hepatitis C.
Hepinem said they enjoyed the creative process. “I’m happy to lend my voice to the important issue of hep C. O’Liver and I were glad to get on board!”
