Are you part of the AMEP program
or do you actively engage with people who are learning English?
The Living Well with Hepatitis B Activity Pack includes a series of activities, flashcards and resources that support people who are learning English to also learn about hepatitis B. These activities look at helping to build vocabulary, practice speaking skills, with topics relating to transmission, testing, vaccination and treatment.
There are many challenges that organisations face in responding to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse populations, especially when it comes to getting tested, vaccinated, and treated for blood-borne viruses. Holding education sessions with the Australian Migrant English Program is an effective approach to connecting with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, or priority populations. Now English language programs are able to use our resources to host their own sessions.
If you are a English language school, you can get a free copy of the activity pack by contacting Alain.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands where we work - the lands of the Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We express our gratitude to them for their continued care and curation of these lands and waters. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
LiverWELL observes and honours the Kulin Nation's intrinsic connection to land, sky and water, and the creator Bunjil. LiverWELL is committed to being led and informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders on bridging health outcomes for communities and improving liver health.
