Volunteer Story by Luong Tran

Volunteer of the Month, March 2018

I am a Master of Public Health focusing on Epidemiology. I am interested in applied research in health promotion.

What inspired me to become a Hepatitis Victoria volunteer

I grew up in Vietnam where Hepatitis is still a public health concern. I wish to continue my passion of preventing the spread of Hepatitis for the community. Hepatitis Victoria shares my care and I wish to contribute to this mutual goal.

One of my favorite Hepatitis Victoria sessions or moments.

I attended the Communication event of delivering Hepatitis prevention at a festival in North Richmond. I have never met so many Vietnamese communities as that day. Of course, we welcomed many other people with varied backgrounds.

What tips do I have for new volunteers?

If you have a passion, make sure you follow it and seek a chance to make it come true. If you like health promotion, Hepatitis Victoria is always a good place to involve in.
