May 14, 2024

Please share a brief overview of yourself.
I have recently completed my Master’s Degree of Public Health. I am passionate about health and well-being, with a keen interest in healthy eating and yoga. I find joy in exploring nutritious recipes, practising meditation, and extending a helping hand to others in need.

What inspired you to become a LiverWELL volunteer?
I was inspired to become a LiverWELL volunteer based on a friend’s recommendation. When I searched for information about this organization, I felt a sense of alignment with the goals and values of LiverWell, motivating me to get involved and contribute to the community as a LiverWell volunteer.

Do you have a particular interest in liver health?
While I may not have prior experience in liver health, I’m eager to expand my knowledge and develop a keen interest in the topic through this volunteering opportunity.

Please describe one of your favourite LiverWELL experiences or moments.
One of my favourite LiverWELL experiences was supporting the organization’s transition to a new CRM system. I enjoyed the process of researching and categorizing stakeholders, which allowed me to learn more about health-promoting organizations in Australia. Additionally, I appreciate the friendly environment at the office, where people are willing to share their stories and ideas.

What tips do you have for new volunteers?
Demonstrate initiative and proactivity in seeking out volunteering opportunities. By actively engaging with tasks, you can contribute meaningfully and joyfully!

What’s next for you?
I am excited about furthering my career in the field of public health, while actively participating in and connecting with the opportunities and communities.
