LiverWELL is proud to announce the release of a new video, produced in collaboration with community health workers and doctors, to raise awareness about hepatitis B and liver disease in the Chinese community.

This Daffodil Day we are spreading awareness of liver cancer and urging Victorians to get tested and treated for viral hepatitis to limit and lower their chances of a future liver cancer diagnosis.

World Hepatitis Day on 28 July brought together experts, partners, and community partners for a global day of action, raising awareness about hepatitis and our goal to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030.

Health Minister Mark Butler MP urged swift action at a federal parliamentary event on July 4, 2024.

LiverWELL celebrated our wonderful volunteers on Wednesday, 12th June. We heard inspiring talks from contributors and insights from our CEO and staff on the significant impact of our volunteer team. 

Recognising the pivotal role of peers in addressing systemic stigma and discrimination, LiverWELL has recently welcomed a peer worker to our team!  We are actively expanding this role to launch an innovative peer support project tailored for individuals affected by viral hepatitis.

Dr John Lubel, Dr Paul Gow and Dr Will Kemp are three Liver Doctors (Hepatologists) with a wealth of knowledge on how you can improve your liver health. They have a series of regular podcasts on the LiverHealth POD where they discuss all manner of liver related health issues. It's both fascinating and informative - have a listen today!

Last Saturday, LiverWELL attended at the first Giong Festival held in Australia, at St Albans. We were very pleased to support the events organisers NEWGENs and provide an information stall.

On Tuesday the 23rd of April, LiverWELL staff held a stall at the Dandenong Sisters Day Out. The day was filled with many meaningful conversations about how we can all take better care of our livers.

LiverWELL staff attended a guided journey through the Melbourne Royal Botanical Gardens,a significant cultural site for the local Kulin Nations.

LiverWELL, Australia’s leading organisation for liver health, is proud to join the global community in celebrating World Liver Day on 19th April, a day dedicated to recognising the remarkable role of the liver in maintaining our overall health.

With 1 in 4 Australians living with liver disease we urgently need to raise awareness and provide information and support so that people can access earlier diagnosis and preventative treatment.
